Hollup! Who is This Weird Looking Mafaka?

Yep.

That’s me.

Weird guy, right? Haha. I know, I know.

Some people even think i’m gayy.

And it makes my girlfriend of 3 years laugh her eyes out whenever I show her some comments and DMs I get on Facebook. Lol

But seriously speaking.

I know why you are here though.

I mean, if I were you, I would prolly will be here too.

Because back then, I was at the same exact point in life. That moment when you feel stuck and your brain burning with frustration.

You seem to be doing everything but still can’t figure out what’s going on or the next step to take from where you currently are.

Like I said, I’ve been there and for a fact, it is a long, hard and lonely journey.

Okay, here's my full story...

I grew up a ‘hustler’ like most people today.

After I wrote my Neco exam at 16, I got a job as a Computer operator in a Business Center at the University of Benin…

…just so I could save to further my studies.

Three years later, I got admitted to Kebbi State University.

However, I had to stay with my aunty for a year before I got an off-school hostel.

I would wash her car, do the dishes and do the laundry but whenever I asked for pocket money, she would say…

“All the food you’ve been eating in this house is in the money you’re asking for. Can’t you call your father? Or Why will he send you to school if he doesn’t have any money to?”

Those words were like a kick in the gut…or testicles even.
Infact, I was so angry that I refused to eat that night and the following morning. Lol

And my dad? Soon enough he got tired of my calls. I won’t forget a particular day I called him for money to pay for a Hand-out.

He was like, “As you can see, I don’t have any money. Wait till the end of the month”

His tone on the phone was cold and dead.

Have you ever felt like you can’t call your father (or your friend even) to just say hi or to check on him because he thinks you’re going to ‘disturb’ him for more money?

And all my friends? They had cut me off too.

Ignoring my calls, my Whatsapp text and pretended they didn’t see it because they knew I was going to ‘ask for another favour’.

To be honest, I hated the begging. This pushed me to make the decision to never ‘disturb’ anybody, EVER again.

It also brought me to a realization that there’s nothing quite like having your own money (anytime and spending it anyhow you want to).

The pain of it all drove me on a journey to find the skills that could solve the problem.

And I did not fail myself.

I can still remember the first day I gave my father N50,000.

The look on his face…I’ll never forget it. Nowadays, my dad calls me just to say “hi” lol.

Fast forward to today.

I haven’t bought a house at Lekki yet. or drive the latest SUV yet.

But you see…

There’s this inner satisfaction that comes with being able to bless your parents, and help your loved ones while everyone just wants to be around you simply because something has changed in your life.

This feeling cannot be bought. It’s priceless.

Today I currently working from home (in fact, I wrote this while still wearing my pajamas at 10 am in the morning), enjoying the kind of life I’ve always dreamt about since my schooling days.

Listen, my dear friend…
